Kevin Alexander Paredes

Kevin Alexander Paredes is an American midfielder from South Riding, Virginia, born on May 7, 2003. He joined D.C. United’s academy at 13 after developing with Loudoun Recreational Soccer, Chantilly Knights and Bethesda Soccer Club. Paredes debuted for the club’s USL affiliate, Loudoun United, in September 2019 and signed as a D.C. United Homegrown player in January 2020. He made his MLS debut later that year, then recorded three goals in 24 appearances during the 2021 season. In January 2022, Paredes moved to VfL Wolfsburg, beginning his transition to European football. At Wolfsburg, he has operated across the left side as a winger, wing-back or full-back, combining pace with tackling and defensive tracking. He represented the United States at senior and under-23 level, scoring twice against Guinea at the 2024 Olympics and winning the 2023 U.S. Soccer Young Male Player of the Year award.
