Karen Muradyan
Karen Muradyan is an Armenian defensive midfielder born on 1 November 1992. He developed in Gyumri and began his senior career with Shirak, making his professional debut in 2011. Muradyan helped Shirak win the Armenian Cup in 2011–12, then contributed to the club’s 2012–13 league title and 2013–14 Super Cup triumph. He later joined Alashkert, where he formed part of squads that won domestic honours before returning to Shirak after a short spell with Swedish club Gällivare Malmberget. Muradyan moved to Ararat-Armenia in 2021 and has remained with the club, helping it win the 2023–24 Armenian Cup. For Armenia, he debuted in 2013 and has been involved in World Cup and European Championship qualifying matches. Primarily a screening midfielder, Muradyan protects the defence and recycles possession, while also covering central midfield when required.
