Kyle McCarthy

Kyle McCarthy is a Welsh footballer from Ebbw Vale, born on 12 April 1993. He developed his senior career with Cardiff Metropolitan University FC, joining the club in 2011 and remaining there for 13 seasons. During that long spell, McCarthy helped Cardiff Met rise through the Welsh football pyramid and establish itself in the Cymru Premier. He made more than 200 Cymru Premier appearances and was involved in the club’s 2019–20 UEFA Europa League preliminary-round campaign against Progrès Niederkorn. McCarthy also represented Cymru C, featuring in the 4–0 win over England C in 2022 and appearing as a substitute in the 2023 fixture. In July 2024, he left Cardiff Met for Haverfordwest County AFC, where he made 33 appearances in 2024–25. McCarthy continued with Haverfordwest in 2025–26, including participation in UEFA Conference League qualifying against Floriana.
