Konstantinos Mavropanos

Konstantinos Mavropanos is a Greek defender who plays primarily as a centre-back. Born in Athens in 1997, he developed in Apollon Smyrnis’s youth system, initially playing as a striker before moving into defence. He joined PAS Giannina professionally in 2016 and established himself as a central defender. In January 2018, Arsenal signed Mavropanos after his rapid rise in Greece, giving him an early route into English football. During his Arsenal tenure, loan spells with 1. FC Nürnberg and VfB Stuttgart provided regular Bundesliga experience and furthered his development. Mavropanos later continued with Stuttgart before moving to West Ham, where his physical defending and aerial presence have strengthened the back line. He also represents Greece, linking his club career with the senior national team.
