Koffi Franck Kouao

Koffi Franck Kouao is an Ivorian defender born in Abidjan on 20 May 1998. He developed at ASEC Mimosas, appearing for the club’s under-18 side in 2015/16, before moving to Portugal and joining Vizela in January 2017. At Vizela, Kouao progressed through the Portuguese divisions and helped the club earn promotion to the Primeira Liga, establishing himself as a right-sided defender. He also spent periods with Moreirense and Famalicão during his development. In 2022, he moved to France to continue his career with Metz, contributing to the club’s 2022/23 promotion campaign. Kouao represented Côte d’Ivoire at under-23 level at the 2019 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations, reaching the final. He is listed with Neftchi and is known for energetic defensive work, recovery running and the ability to operate as a right-back or wing-back.
