Kristijan Kahlina

Kristijan Kahlina is a Croatian goalkeeper born in Zagreb on 24 July 1992. He developed in Dinamo Zagreb’s academy from 2004 to 2011 before joining NK Vinogradar in Croatia’s second division. Kahlina later spent five years with HNK Gorica, captaining the team from 2019 and helping it earn promotion to the Croatian top flight. He made 157 appearances and recorded 53 clean sheets for Gorica before moving to Bulgarian champions Ludogorets Razgrad in early 2021. There, he started the final five matches of their title-winning campaign and played in Champions League qualifying and Europa League group-stage matches. Charlotte FC signed Kahlina in December 2021, and he became the club’s starting goalkeeper during its inaugural MLS season, making 31 starts. In 2024, he played every minute of Charlotte’s regular season and was named MLS Goalkeeper of the Year after leading the league with a 75.63 percent save rate and 121 saves.
