Kristinn Jónsson
Kristinn Jónsson is an Icelandic defender who developed at Breidablik and made his senior debut for the club in 2007. He helped Breidablik win the Icelandic Cup in 2009 and the club’s first national league title in 2010. In 2014, Jónsson joined IF Brommapojkarna on loan, gaining experience in Sweden before returning to Iceland. His domestic form was recognised in 2015 when Morgunblaðið named him Úrvalsdeild Player of the Season. Jónsson represented Iceland eight times, primarily in friendly matches between 2009 and 2017. He moved to KR Reykjavik in 2018 and contributed to the 2019 league title and 2020 Super Cup triumph. After six seasons with KR, he returned to Breidablik in February 2024 and remains part of the club’s senior squad.
