Kreshnik Hajrizi

Kreshnik Hajrizi is a centre-back for FC Sion and represents Kosovo internationally. Born in Switzerland in 1999, he developed with FC Chippis and FC Saxon Sports before joining the BSC Young Boys academy in 2014. Hajrizi began his senior career with FC Chiasso in 2019, making the step from the Swiss second tier to top-flight football with FC Lugano in 2021. During three seasons in Lugano, he became a regular defender and helped the club win the Swiss Cup in 2022. He later spent a short period with Widzew Łódź before returning to Switzerland, joining FC Sion in January 2025 and subsequently remaining with the Valais club. At 1.85 metres, Hajrizi brings a physical presence to central defence and has also been used at right-back or in defensive midfield. After representing Switzerland at under-17 level, he made his Kosovo senior debut against the Faroe Islands in November 2022.
