Khalil Fayad
Khalil Fayad is a French midfielder who developed at Montpellier after joining the club’s academy in 2010. Born in Montpellier, Fayad progressed through the club’s age-group system and reached Montpellier II by 2021. He made his professional debut for Montpellier on 13 August 2022, coming on against Paris Saint-Germain and assisting Enzo Tchato in a 5–2 defeat. During 2023–24, he recorded 23 Ligue 1 appearances and three goals, then made 20 league appearances in 2024–25. Fayad operates mainly centrally but can also play on the left, combining ball progression with defensive work. He represented France from under-18 to under-20 level before declaring for Morocco in 2024. At 172 centimetres, Khalil Fayad has continued his development as a versatile midfielder within Montpellier’s setup.
