Koni De Winter

Koni De Winter is a Belgian defender who developed through the youth setups of Sparta Linkeroever, City Pirates, Lierse SK and Zulte Waregem before joining Juventus in 2018. At Juventus, he progressed through the club’s youth system and Next Gen side, then made his senior debut in the Champions League against Malmö FF in 2021. De Winter moved to Empoli on loan for the 2022–23 season, gaining experience in Serie A. He subsequently joined Genoa, where he established himself across two seasons and featured in both back-three and back-four systems. Comfortable primarily at centre-back, he can also cover right-back, using his height, recovery speed and ability to contribute to build-up play. De Winter made his Belgium senior debut against the Republic of Ireland in March 2024 and later moved to AC Milan, continuing his development at one of Italy’s leading clubs.
