Kenji Giovanni Cabrera Nakamura

Kenji Giovanni Cabrera Nakamura is a Peruvian midfielder born in Lima on 27 January 2003. He developed at Esther Grande de Bentín before a short spell with Alianza Lima, then joined FBC Melgar and made his senior debut in 2021. At Melgar, Cabrera established himself as an attacking-minded player, operating from wide areas while moving inside to support central creation. He contributed to the club’s campaigns in the Copa Sudamericana and Copa Libertadores, building experience in domestic and continental football. In July 2025, Cabrera moved to Vancouver Whitecaps, continuing his career in Major League Soccer. He scored his first MLS goal in his first start against Sporting Kansas City on 20 September 2025. Cabrera also represented Peru at under-20 level before making his senior debut against Uruguay in a 2025 World Cup qualifier.
