Khariton Ayvazyan

Khariton Ayvazyan is an Armenian defender who plays for FC Urartu. Born in Akhalkalaki on 8 November 2003, he developed in Urartu’s youth structure, progressing through the Under-18 and reserve sides before reaching the senior team in 2021. Primarily a right-back, Ayvazyan has also been used on the left side of defence and, at times, in wider midfield roles. He spent the first half of the 2023/24 season on loan at BKMA Yerevan, gaining regular senior experience. During that spell, he scored against Urartu in the opening league match, briefly making it 1–1 before the game ended in defeat. Ayvazyan returned to Urartu in 2024 and became a frequent selection under coach Dmitriy Gunko. He was part of Urartu’s Armenian Premier League and Armenian Cup-winning campaign in 2022/23 and has represented Armenia at under-21 level.
