Kristoffer Askildsen

Kristoffer Askildsen is a Norwegian midfielder who developed from IL Heming into the Stabæk academy. At Stabæk, he began as a goalkeeper before moving into midfield, and he made his senior debut against Ranheim in September 2018. He became a regular in 2019, attracting interest from Italy before joining Sampdoria in January 2020. Askildsen made his Sampdoria debut against Inter Milan and scored against AC Milan, becoming the club’s first player born after 2000 to score. He spent the 2022–23 season on loan at Lecce, making 21 Serie A appearances, then returned to Sampdoria for the following Serie B campaign. In July 2024, Askildsen moved to FC Midtjylland, where he featured in league and European competition. He returned to Norway with Viking in March 2025 and helped the club win the 2025 Eliteserien title, scoring three goals in 27 appearances.
