Juan Luis Sánchez Velasco

Juan Luis Sánchez Velasco, known as Juanlu Sánchez, is a Spanish right winger born in Montequinto on 15 August 2003. He developed with CD Los Caminantes and CD San Alberto Magno before joining Sevilla’s academy in 2015. Juanlu signed his first professional contract in August 2019 and made his senior debut for Sevilla Atlético at 16, later appearing for Sevilla’s first team in the Copa del Rey in December 2021. A 2022/23 loan at Mirandés broadened his game, as he operated at right-back while retaining an attacking contribution. He returned to Sevilla and continued to offer width, overlapping runs and positional flexibility. At the 2024 Paris Olympics, Juanlu scored Spain’s semi-final winner against Morocco and helped the team win gold. He is listed with Bournemouth and Spain U23, while Sevilla and Mirandés remain key clubs in his career.
