Juan José Nieto Zarzoso

Juan José Nieto Zarzoso, known as Juanjo Nieto, is a Spanish right-back born in Castellón de la Plana on 3 October 1994. He developed with VV Rafalafena, CD Castellón, CF Futur and CD Roda before making his senior debut for Castellón in 2012. In 2013, Nieto joined Real Valladolid’s reserve side and later represented Atlético Baleares and Mallorca B. He reached professional football with Mallorca in 2017, then established himself at Hércules before moving to Real Oviedo in 2019. At Oviedo, he scored his first professional goal against Rayo Vallecano in December 2019. Nieto joined Almería in 2021 and helped the club achieve promotion, but a cruciate ligament injury in February 2022 interrupted his campaign. After recovering with Huesca, he moved to Celje in 2024 and is now listed with Castellón, continuing a career across Spanish and European football.
