Joseba Muguruza Bengoa

Joseba Muguruza Bengoa is a Spanish defender from Deba who developed in Real Sociedad’s Zubieta academy. He represented Real Sociedad B from 2014 to 2018, making 135 appearances and scoring 31 goals. In 2018, Muguruza joined Castellón, where he converted from an attacking role into a right-back under Óscar Cano. He helped Castellón secure promotion in 2019–20, contributing three goals in 30 matches. Muguruza made his Segunda División debut for Castellón on 12 September 2020 in a 2–1 win over Ponferradina. He later played for Sabadell and Cultural Leonesa in Primera RFEF, maintaining a regular role across the 2021–22 and 2022–24 periods. Since October 2024, Muguruza has continued his career with Inter Club d’Escaldes in Andorra, adding experience on European qualifying stages.
