Joran Gerbet

Joran Gerbet is a French midfielder born in Valence on 30 June 2001. He developed with FC Eyrieux Embroye, Rhône Crussol Foot 07 and Olympique de Valence before joining the AJ Auxerre academy in 2018. During three years at Auxerre, Gerbet made two reserve-team appearances in Championnat National 2. He then moved to the United States, starting all 36 matches for Oregon State across the 2021 and 2022 seasons while earning Pac-12 Freshman of the Year and Pac-12 Player of the Year honors. After transferring to Clemson in 2023, he helped the Tigers win the NCAA national championship, contributing three goals and three assists that season. In 2024, he was named ACC Midfielder of the Year and a First-Team All-American. Selected 27th overall in the 2025 MLS SuperDraft, Gerbet joined Orlando City SC, where he has operated as a disciplined defensive midfielder.
