Jon Karrikaburu Jaimerena

Jon Karrikaburu Jaimerena, known as Jon Karrikaburu, is a Spanish centre-forward born in Elizondo on 19 September 2002. He developed at Real Sociedad’s Zubieta academy and made his senior debut for the club’s C team in 2019, scoring immediately. In 2020/21, he scored 22 goals in 20 C-team appearances before moving up to Real Sociedad B. Karrikaburu scored on his B-team debut and helped secure promotion to the Segunda División with an extra-time winner against Algeciras in 2021. He later joined Alavés, making two La Liga appearances during the 2023/24 season. A subsequent spell at Racing Santander brought eight goals and four assists in 43 appearances in 2024/25. Karrikaburu returned to Real Sociedad, where he is listed in the first-team squad and has continued pursuing a regular top-flight role.
