Joan Sastre Vanrell

Joan Sastre is a Spanish right-back from Porreres, born on 30 April 1997. He joined Mallorca’s academy in 2009 and progressed to the club’s reserve side, making his senior breakthrough in the 2014–15 Segunda División B season. Sastre made his Mallorca first-team debut against Huesca in the Copa del Rey in September 2015. From 2017, he became an established member of the side that achieved successive promotions from the third tier to La Liga in 2019. He debuted in Spain’s top flight in August 2019, starting Mallorca’s 2–1 victory over Eibar. After his Mallorca spell, Sastre moved to PAOK, where he continued as a right-sided defender and helped the club win the 2023–24 Greek Super League. He is now listed with Apoel Nicosia, adding a new chapter abroad to a career shaped by development and promotion campaigns.
