Javier Serrano Martínez

Javi Serrano is a Spanish defensive midfielder from Madrid who developed in Atlético Madrid’s academy after joining at age seven in 2010. He progressed through the youth ranks and helped Juvenil A top its group in 2020–21, before moving to Atlético Madrid II in March 2021. Serrano signed a five-year professional contract in summer 2020. During the 2021–22 pre-season, Diego Simeone used him in all five friendlies, and Serrano made his senior debut against Liverpool in the Champions League at Anfield on November 3, 2021. He made his first La Liga start against Granada on April 20, 2022. He then gained experience on loan with CD Mirandés before joining Sturm Graz for the 2023–24 season, where he was part of teams that won the Austrian Bundesliga and Austrian Cup.
