Javier López Carballo
Javi López, whose full name is Javier López Carballo, is a Spanish left-back born in La Orotava on 25 March 2002. He developed with UD Orotava and CD Tenerife before joining Deportivo Alavés’ youth system in 2017. López made his senior debut for Alavés’ reserve side in 2018, starting against Real Sociedad C in the Tercera División. He reached Alavés’ first team and made his La Liga debut on 21 June 2020 against Celta Vigo. After Alavés were relegated in 2022, he helped the club return to the top flight the following season. López scored his first professional goal in May 2024, deciding a 1–0 away win over Valencia. In July 2024, he moved to Real Sociedad, where his left foot, 184-centimetre frame and ability to operate as a full-back provide defensive and build-up options.
