James Barry Norris

James Barry Norris is an English defender born on 4 April 2003. He developed at Liverpool, joining the academy at under-9 level and progressing through the age groups before making his senior debut against Aston Villa in the 2019 EFL Cup quarter-final. Norris also represented England at under-17, under-18 and under-19 levels, including the under-17 team’s 2019 Syrenka Cup-winning campaign. He later featured for Liverpool’s U23s, with his versatility taking him into central midfield, and appeared as a substitute against Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup. In 2023, Norris joined Tranmere Rovers on loan, making 20 appearances in League Two. He moved to Shelbourne on loan in February 2025 and helped the club win the League of Ireland Premier Division title. After establishing himself as a left-back or wing-back, Norris completed a permanent move to Shelbourne in January 2026.
