Jón Dagur Þorsteinsson
Jón Dagur Þorsteinsson is an Icelandic midfielder born in Reykjavík on 26 November 1998. He developed at HK Kópavogur and entered senior football before moving to Fulham’s academy in 2015, where he played for the under-18 and under-23 sides. Seeking senior minutes, Jón Dagur joined Vendsyssel FF on loan in 2018, then moved permanently to AGF Aarhus in 2019. Across three seasons in Denmark, he established himself through direct wide play and set-piece delivery. He transferred to OH Leuven in 2022, and his 2023–24 campaign brought seven goals and four assists in 37 appearances. In 2024, Jón Dagur moved to Hertha BSC, continuing his career in Germany. He has also represented Iceland internationally, scoring the only goal in a 1–0 win over England at Wembley in June 2024.
