József Windecker

József Windecker is a Hungarian midfielder, born on 2 December 1992. Developed through Soltvadkerti SE and Győri ETO, he represented Hungary at under-19, under-20 and under-21 level between 2011 and 2014. After joining Győri ETO’s senior setup, Windecker spent 2013 on loan at Paks, where he established himself in top-flight football. He later played for Újpest, helping the Budapest club win the Magyar Kupa in 2018, before a spell with Greek side APO Levadiakos. Returning to Paks permanently in February 2019, he became an established central or defensive midfielder and a key part of the club’s cup successes. Paks defeated Ferencváros in the 2024 final and retained the Magyar Kupa in 2025, with Windecker involved in both triumphs. At 183 centimetres, József Windecker offers positional discipline, defensive coverage and reliable short distribution while contributing more goals in recent seasons.
