Jordi Vanlerberghe

Jordi Vanlerberghe is a Belgian centre-back born in Duffel on 27 June 1996. He began playing with KFC Duffel before joining KV Mechelen’s youth system in 2004, where he developed before making his senior breakthrough. Vanlerberghe made his professional debut for Mechelen against Lierse in October 2012 and remained with the club until moving to Club Brugge in 2017. He was part of Club Brugge’s 2017–18 Belgian First Division A title-winning squad, while loan spells at Oostende and later KV Mechelen provided regular first-team football. His return to Mechelen became permanent in 2020, and he established himself as an important defensive presence over the following seasons. In January 2024, Vanlerberghe joined Brondby, continuing his career in Denmark’s Superliga. He has also represented Belgium at under-16, under-17, under-18, under-19 and under-21 level.
