Jonas Kurt Urbig

Jonas Kurt Urbig is a German goalkeeper born in Euskirchen on 8 August 2003. He began with Sportfreunde Wüschheim-Büllesheim and SSV Eintracht Lommersum before joining 1. FC Köln’s academy in 2012. As part of Köln’s under-17 side, Urbig won the German championship in 2018/19. He moved into senior football with a loan to Jahn Regensburg in January 2023, making his professional debut against Darmstadt 98 and establishing himself as the club’s starting goalkeeper. The following season, he joined SpVgg Greuther Fürth on loan, making 33 league appearances and recording 11 clean sheets. Urbig returned to Köln for the beginning of 2024/25, then moved to Bayern München in January 2025 on a four-and-a-half-year contract. A technically assured goalkeeper comfortable with distribution, he has also represented Germany at youth level and made his Champions League debut for Bayern in March 2025.
