Jonas Svensson

Jonas Svensson is a Norwegian right-back from Verdal. He developed at Verdal IL, played senior football for Levanger FK, and joined Rosenborg in August 2009. Svensson made his Rosenborg debut in 2011, initially as a midfielder before moving permanently to right-back during the 2014 season. In 2016, he became the youngest player in Rosenborg history to reach 200 appearances. He moved to AZ Alkmaar in January 2017, spending five seasons in the Netherlands and playing in domestic and European competition. In July 2021, Svensson joined Adana Demirspor, and he later moved to Beşiktaş in early 2024. His earlier midfield experience also shaped his passing and build-up work from the flank. He represented Norway internationally before returning to Rosenborg in January 2026 on a two-year contract.
