Jindřich Staněk
Jindřich Staněk is a Czech goalkeeper born in Strakonice in 1996. He developed at SK Dynamo České Budějovice and AC Sparta Prague before joining Everton in January 2014. At Everton, he played for the Under-21s and spent a month on loan at Hyde United, but did not make a senior appearance before leaving in 2016. Staněk returned to České Budějovice, where a loan at HFK Třebíč preceded a breakthrough 2018–19 campaign featuring ten clean sheets in 18 second-tier matches. He moved to Viktoria Plzeň on loan in January 2020 and became first choice, helping the club win the Czech league title in 2021–22 after recording 14 clean sheets in 28 games. In January 2024, he joined Slavia Praha. Internationally, he represented Czechia from under-16 through under-21 level, made his senior debut against Belgium in 2021, and was included in the Czech squad for UEFA Euro 2024.
