Jorne Spileers
Jorne Spileers is a Belgian defender who developed through the youth systems of SV Zulte Waregem and Club Brugge. He joined Club Brugge at nine and initially played as a striker before moving into defence, where his 188cm frame and comfort on the ball became important assets. In February 2021, Spileers made his professional debut for Club NXT in the Challenger Pro League. After signing his first professional contract in July 2022, he made his Club Brugge first-team debut on 1 October in a 3–0 win over KV Mechelen. Later that month, he appeared in the UEFA Champions League against Atlético de Madrid at 17. Spileers became a regular during the 2023/24 campaign, featuring in 43 matches and helping Club Brugge win the Belgian Pro League. He has also represented Belgium at under-21 level and extended his Club Brugge contract through 2028 in 2025.
