Jamil Siebert

Jamil Siebert is a German defender, born in Düsseldorf on 2 April 2002, who developed at Fortuna Düsseldorf after joining the club’s academy as a child. He progressed through Fortuna’s youth teams and made his senior debut for the club in September 2020. In January 2022, Siebert moved to Viktoria Köln on loan, remaining there through the 2022–23 season and helping the club win the Mittelrhein Cup in both campaigns. Returning to Fortuna, he became a regular in the 2. Bundesliga during the 2023–24 and 2024–25 seasons. His performances brought involvement with Germany’s under-21 side before he moved to Lecce in summer 2025. At 1.93 metres, Siebert offers a strong aerial presence, blocks shots, clears danger and brings a direct, safety-first approach to build-up play.
