Jorge Andrés Segura Portocarrero

Jorge Andrés Segura Portocarrero is a Colombian defender born in Zarzal on January 18, 1997. He developed at Envigado FC and progressed into the first team, establishing himself during the 2016 season. In March 2017, Watford signed Segura, and he subsequently built experience through loans at Real Valladolid B, Independiente Medellín, Atlas, Atletico Nacional and America de Cali. He represented Colombia at the 2017 South American Under-20 Championship, while remaining uncapped at senior level. After ending his Watford association in 2023, Segura joined Lokomotiv Plovdiv and made more than 70 appearances during his Bulgarian spell. The 194-centimetre centre-back then moved to FC Zurich in July 2025, opening a new chapter in Switzerland. At his best, Segura uses his height to compete in the air and contributes to defensive build-up, combining physical presence with experience gained across Colombia, Europe and Mexico.
