Joshua Thomas Sargent

Joshua Thomas Sargent is an American centre-forward from O'Fallon, Missouri. He began developing with St. Louis Scott Gallagher before emerging through the United States youth setup. In 2017, Sargent captained the U-17 team, played at the U-20 World Cup, and received his first senior call-up, becoming the youngest American to score at that tournament. He joined Werder Bremen after turning 18 and scored 86 seconds into his senior debut against Fortuna Düsseldorf in December 2018. After moving to Norwich City in 2021, Sargent was used both centrally and on the wing, contributing defensive work while adapting to English football. The Championship gave him a regular No. 9 role, and he was voted Norwich’s Player of the Season after scoring 15 league goals in 2024–25. Sargent later moved to Toronto FC in 2026, while continuing to represent the United States internationally.
