Jasper Lauri Petteri Samooja

Jasper Lauri Petteri Samooja is a Finnish goalkeeper born on 21 July 2003. Standing 190 centimetres tall, he developed in Finland before continuing his progression abroad. Samooja is recorded with HJK Helsinki and later joined Lecce’s Under-19 setup, entering the Italian pathway for young players. At Lecce, he gained experience in Primavera football, where goalkeepers combine saves with positioning, distribution and communication with the defence. He has also been named among Lecce’s substitutes for Serie A fixtures, although he has not made a senior league appearance. Samooja’s route from Finnish football to Italy has taken him through domestic development, academy competition and exposure to a top-flight environment. At 22, he remains a developing goalkeeper seeking to convert that experience into first-team opportunities.
