Joseph Peter Rodon

Joseph Peter Rodon is a Welsh centre-back who developed in Swansea City’s academy after joining at eight. He progressed through the club’s youth teams and captained the under-23 side to Premier League Cup success in 2017. A loan at Cheltenham Town in early 2018 preceded his Swansea senior debut against Preston North End in August that year. Rodon made 54 appearances for Swansea before moving to Tottenham Hotspur in October 2020. Limited league opportunities in north London led to a 2022/23 loan with Rennes, where he also gained Europa League experience. He joined Leeds on loan in August 2023 and became a key defender in their 2024/25 Championship title-winning campaign, starting 46 league matches. Rodon’s 1.93-metre frame supports his aerial defending, while his composed distribution and willingness to step forward suit his role at centre-back; he has also represented Wales since his 2019 debut.
