John Gregory Pulskamp

John Gregory Pulskamp is an American goalkeeper who represents Sporting Kansas City. Born in Bakersfield, California, on April 19, 2001, he began developing with Central California Aztecs and Real So Cal before joining the LA Galaxy Academy. In 2018, Pulskamp trialled with AFC Bournemouth in England, an experience that reinforced his ambition to pursue a professional career. He moved away from California in April 2019, signing with Sporting Kansas City II, then known as Swope Park Rangers. Pulskamp made his MLS debut on April 17, 2021, helping Sporting Kansas City defeat the New York Red Bulls 2–1. He has represented the United States at under-18, under-20 and under-23 levels and was selected as an alternate for the 2024 Olympic team. In 2025, Pulskamp played every minute of Sporting’s 34-game regular season, became the club’s Defensive Player of the Year and earned recognition for his shot-stopping, including MLS Save of the Year.
