Johny Placide

Johny Placide is a Haitian international goalkeeper born in Paris, France, on 29 January 1988. He developed at Le Havre, joining the club’s academy in 2000 before progressing to the first team in 2008. At Le Havre, Placide established himself as a quick-reacting goalkeeper and was named UNFP Ligue 2 Goalkeeper of the Year in 2011 after recording 16 clean sheets. He later moved to Stade de Reims in 2013, making 49 Ligue 1 appearances during his spell there. His French career also included Guingamp, adding another stage to his experience in the domestic game. Placide subsequently continued his club career abroad before joining Bastia in 2021, bringing extensive experience to the Corsican side. For Haiti, he chose senior international football in 2011 and helped the national team reach the 2016 Copa América, remaining a prominent figure between the posts.
