James Regan Penrice

James Regan Penrice is a Scottish defender, primarily a left-back, born in Livingston on 22 December 1998. He developed at Partick Thistle’s Thistle Weir Academy and made his debut against Dundee United in May 2016, providing an assist in a 3–3 draw. Penrice then gained experience on loan with East Fife and Livingston before returning to Partick Thistle, where he played every minute of the 2018–19 league season. After remaining at Thistle following their 2020 relegation, he helped the club win the 2020–21 League One title. He joined Livingston permanently in 2021 and made more than 90 appearances for the Premiership side. Following a 2024–25 campaign with Heart of Midlothian, during which he won both Player of the Year awards and reached the PFA Scotland Team of the Year, Penrice moved to AEK Athens. He continues his career in Greece as a left-sided defender.
