Juan Ferney Otero Tovar attacks space on the right, sprinting beyond the line to threaten the back post with quick, narrow runs. Otero drives fast counters with pace. Otero began at Fortaleza CEIF in 2014, making his senior debut. He helped Fortaleza win promotion in 2015 to Colombia’s top flight. A move to Fabril in 2015/16 showcased 19 goals in 34 appearances, a turning point in his development. He then impressed in Copa Libertadores with Estudiantes in 2017 and 2018, establishing himself on bigger stages. Otero, the Colombian forward, joined Amiens in Ligue 1 for 2018–2020, then moved through Santos Laguna and Club América before arriving at Sporting Gijón.
