Jaakko Tapio Oksanen
Jaakko Tapio Oksanen is a Finnish central midfielder born in Helsinki on 7 November 2000. He developed with KP-75 and KOPSE before joining the HJK Helsinki academy at 12, later appearing for HJK’s reserve side, Klubi 04, and making his senior HJK debut in 2017. In January 2018, Oksanen moved to Brentford, where he made 88 appearances for Brentford B and reached first-team matchday squads. Loans to AFC Wimbledon and Greenock Morton introduced him to senior football in England and Scotland. Released by Brentford in 2022, he returned home with KuPS, winning the Finnish Cup in 2022 and 2024 and the Veikkausliiga in 2024 and 2025. Oksanen has represented Finland from under-16 to under-21 level and made his senior debut against Estonia in January 2023. He is now listed with Kairat Almaty, continuing a career built around central midfield work.
