Juan David Mosquera López

Juan David Mosquera López is a Colombian right-back born in Cali on September 5, 2002. He developed in Independiente Medellín’s academy and made his professional debut for the Colombian club as a teenager. Between 2020 and 2022, Mosquera built experience with Medellín, including appearances in the Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana. In July 2022, he moved to the Portland Timbers, where his athletic right-sided play and willingness to support attacks helped him establish himself in the lineup. Mosquera has also contributed width through overlaps and crossing, while operating at times in more advanced wide roles. He made his senior Colombia debut against the United States in January 2023 and has remained involved in the country’s U23 setup.
