Jeyland Yahir Mitchell Baltodano

Jeyland Yahir Mitchell Baltodano is a Costa Rican defender born in Puerto Limón in 2004. Standing 1.87 metres tall, he began developing in Limón before joining Deportivo Saprissa’s academy in 2020. The COVID-19 pandemic interrupted that spell, and Mitchell later returned to football with AD Guanacasteca in 2021. After moving to Alajuelense in early 2024, he established himself in the first team and earned involvement with Costa Rica. Mitchell was part of Costa Rica’s 2024 Copa América campaign, gaining attention for his physical defending against high-level opposition. Feyenoord signed him in July 2024, where he continued his development while competing for opportunities. In September 2025, he moved to Sturm Graz on loan and became a regular in Austria, contributing through aggressive duels, aerial strength and improving defensive positioning.
