Jamie Terence McGrath
Jamie Terence McGrath is an Irish midfielder from Athboy who developed at Athboy Celtic and Cherry Orchard before joining St Patrick’s Athletic. He made his senior debut for St Patrick’s in September 2014 and showed positional versatility, including a spell as a striker in 2015. McGrath became an attacking focal point for the Saints and won their Young Player of the Season award in 2016. In January 2017, he moved to Dundalk, helping the club win League of Ireland Premier Division titles in 2018 and 2019 while earning the PFAI Young Player of the Year award in 2018. He later established himself in Scotland with St Mirren, where 17 goals in 45 appearances in 2020–21 brought the club’s Player of the Year award. After a move to Wigan Athletic and a loan spell at Dundee United, McGrath joined Aberdeen in 2023. He signed for Hibernian in 2025 and made his senior Republic of Ireland debut in 2021.
