Jakub Markovič

Jakub Markovič is a Czech goalkeeper born on 13 July 2001. He developed in Přerov before joining Sigma Olomouc’s academy in 2014. Markovič moved to Slavia Praha in 2017 and made his senior debut in a 4–0 victory over Bohemians 1905 on 24 August 2019. He then gained experience on loan with Pardubice, Vlašim and Mladá Boleslav before signing for Baník Ostrava in 2023. At Baník, he drew attention in the 2024–25 UEFA Conference League qualifying campaign by saving two penalties in a shootout against FC Copenhagen, although Ostrava lost. Markovič returned to Slavia Praha in January 2025 and has been involved in first-team football. Internationally, he has represented Czechia at youth level and received a senior national-team call-up in 2024.
