Jean-Victor Makengo
Jean-Victor Makengo is a French midfielder born in Étampes on 12 June 1998. He developed at FC Étampes, SC Malesherbes and ESA Linas-Montlhéry before joining the SM Caen academy in 2011 and making his senior debut in 2015. In 2017, Makengo moved to Nice, where he continued his development in Ligue 1. He spent the 2019–20 season on loan at Toulouse, making 19 appearances and scoring twice. Udinese signed him in 2020, and his three-season spell in Serie A included 66 league appearances. Makengo returned to France with Lorient in January 2023 and later helped the club win the 2024–25 Ligue 2 title. He is now part of Lorient’s midfield. Makengo also won the 2015 UEFA European Under-17 Championship with France, adding international youth success to a career across France and Italy.
