Jefferson Andrés Lerma Solís
Jefferson Andrés Lerma Solís is a Colombian defensive midfielder born in Cerrito on 25 October 1994. He developed at Atlético Huila and made his senior debut in 2013. In 2015, Lerma moved to Levante, where he refined his positional discipline and ball-winning work in Spanish football. He joined Bournemouth in 2018, spending five seasons with the club across the Premier League and Championship, and earning their 2022/23 Player of the Year award. Lerma signed for Crystal Palace in 2023, continuing to protect the back line and contribute to midfield buildup. For Colombia, he featured at the 2018 World Cup and helped the team finish runner-up at the 2024 Copa América. Known for physical challenges, aerial duels and positional awareness, Jefferson Lerma can also provide defensive cover from deeper areas.
