Joris Kayembe Ditu

Joris Kayembe Ditu is a Congolese midfielder born in Brussels, Belgium, on 8 August 1994. He developed with Scup Dieleghem Jette and FC Brussels before joining Standard Liège and moving to Porto in 2013. At Porto, Kayembe progressed through the reserve side, made a first-team debut in 2014, and spent loan periods with Arouca and Rio Ave. He later joined Nantes, where injuries restricted his appearances before a move to Charleroi in January 2020. At Charleroi, Kayembe adapted from a wide attacking role into a left-sided defensive position, a change that reshaped his career. He subsequently represented Belgium before switching allegiance to the Democratic Republic of the Congo in 2023 and appearing at the Africa Cup of Nations. Kayembe now plays for Genk, contributing through ball progression, passing and positional flexibility.
