Karl Jesper Karlsson

Karl Jesper Karlsson attacks space from the left, pulling defenders and sprinting beyond the line. Karlsson began with Falkenbergs FF, moved to IF Elfsborg in 2017, and then joined AZ Alkmaar in 2020, a turning point in his career. He thrives on fast, direct counter runs. The winger adapted to Bologna in 2023, then on loan spells at Lecce and Aberdeen shaped his reach. In January 2026 he was recalled by Bologna and sent to FC Utrecht on loan. Karlsson operates as an attacking forward cutting inside to threaten the channel and finish moves. He presses high and links play with one-touch layoffs to create separation. Karlsson, the Sweden-born forward, thrives when given space to attack and finish in transition.
