Jere Kallinen

Jere Kallinen is a Finnish midfielder who operates primarily in a holding role. Born on 10 January 2002, he developed in Oulu and spent his youth career with Oulun Luistinseura (OLS). At 17, Kallinen signed his first professional contract with AC Oulu on 21 December 2019. He made his senior debut on 27 June 2020 and contributed to AC Oulu’s promotion to the Veikkausliiga that season. Kallinen scored his first top-flight goal against IFK Mariehamn in May 2021, continuing to develop as a central midfielder. A serious knee injury sustained against HIFK in May 2022 required surgery and interrupted his progress, but he later returned to regular football. After his AC Oulu spell, he joined HJK Helsinki in 2025, moving to one of Finland’s leading clubs. At HJK, Kallinen provides ball security, defensive coverage and deep distribution while offering central versatility.
