Josip Juranović
Josip Juranović is a Croatian defender, primarily a right-back, born in Zagreb on 16 August 1995. He developed at NK Dubrava before joining HNK Hajduk Split in 2015, initially featuring for the club’s B team and later becoming a senior-team captain. In 2020, Juranović moved abroad to Legia Warszawa, where he won the Ekstraklasa title. He joined Celtic in 2021 and helped the Glasgow club win the Scottish Premiership and Scottish League Cup, while also filling in at left-back. After Croatia’s third-place finish at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, he moved to Union Berlin in January 2023. Juranović has since represented Union in the Bundesliga and European competition, including the club’s 2023–24 Champions League campaign. For Croatia, Juranović has combined right-sided defending with forward runs and crossing, contributing from either flank when required.
