Jákup Johansen

Jákup Johansen is a Faroese football midfielder who operates primarily on the left. Born on 27 April 1993, he developed at Skála ÍF and began his senior career there, scoring 18 goals in 39 appearances between 2009 and 2011. He then spent two seasons with ÍF Fuglafjørður before returning to Skála, where a seven-season spell brought 128 appearances and 47 goals. In January 2020, Johansen joined Víkingur Gøta, adding experience and attacking output to the club’s midfield. He has since featured extensively for Víkingur in domestic football and UEFA Champions League and Conference League qualifying campaigns. Johansen also earned a senior cap for the Faroe Islands in June 2021. He remains registered with Víkingur Gøta, where his career reflects a progression from prolific young scorer to experienced wide midfielder.
